What is Kitchari?

Kitchari [Pronounced Kit-Char-ree] is an Ancient Ayurvedic cleanse recipe that has been cultivated for thousands of years. It’s purpose it simple and the recipe is designed to initiate digestive warmth and comfort while also enabling detox and release.

How does it do it? Kitchari is comprised of many ingredients, primarily organic mung dal and basmati rice. These two foods unite to form a perfect plant based protein that is easy for the body to digest. This clean and nutritious base is supplemented with numerous digestive herbs and spices. Our signature blend includes Bay Leaves, Parsley, Black Pepper, Cardamom Pods, Whole Cloves, Forest Mushrooms, Cumin Seeds, Fenugreek, Turmeric, Mustard Seeds & Rosemary. Spices aren’t just full of flavor, each one contains a soothing rhythm and multiple contours of diverse vitamins and minerals that the body needs to thrive, function, and feel its best.

So, how do you cleanse with Kitchari? With Tomgirl its simple. Kitchari becomes your primary meal for any length of time you choose. It becomes your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In between meals, you may enjoy herbal teas, warm water with lemon, and smoothies and fresh juices as a complimentary snack.   • 6AM Warm Water with Lemon followed by an optional cup of Green Tea

  • 7AM Winterbor Kale Pineapple or a Fresh Juice of your choice

  • 8AM Warm Bowl of our Ayurvedic Kitchari

  • 10AM Herbal Tea and Fresh Fruit or Vegetables [Local Apple, Snow Peas or Celery]

  • 12PM Warm Bowl of our Ayurvedic Kitchari

  • 2PM Fresh Juice of your Choice: Beet Apple Lime & Cayenne or Greens & Ginger

  • 4PM Herbal Tea and Fresh Fruit or Vegetables [Local Apple, Snow Peas or Celery]

  • 6PM Warm Bowl of our Ayurvedic Kitchari

  • 8PM Vanilla Almond Milk or our Golden Almond Milk

Daily Recommendations:

• Serve Kitchari Warm with Ghee or Coconut Oil, Fresh Parsley, Cilantro, Steam Greens or Avocado

• Drink Half your weight in ounces of filtered water [this includes herbal tea intake]
